Brain Drain

A combination of information design and data visualization to examine the reality of the Italian brain drain, making a multi-layered socioeconomic issue accessible and engaging for a wider audience.

Through an interactive scrollytelling website, the project presents a comprehensive exploration of the exodus of Italian graduates and professionals over the last decades. The goal was to synthesize complex demographic datasets and historical trends into a unified visual narrative, looking at the problem from macroeconomic, structural, and deeply personal perspectives. The user is guided through an interactive narrative that unfolds as they scroll, transforming abstract statistics into a tangible understanding of a generation at a crossroads.
