Giulia Rossi is an Italian designer, currently based in Helsinki.

Her Background

Her academic path began studying architecture in high school, where she first discovered her passion for design. She went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano, exploring visual language as both a storytelling medium and a tool to spark curiosity.

Today, Giulia is pursuing a Master's Degree in Visual Communication Design at Aalto University, along with a minor in International Design Business Management (IDBM).

Her Practice

Every project begins with research. By exploring diverse questions and varying perspectives, she builds a broad understanding of a topic before narrowing it down to the most effective strategic direction. Recently, her process has been inspired by complex living systems theory—the concept that entities constantly adapt in response to their surroundings. Drawing from this, Giulia views her own practice as continuously evolving; every new context she enters and people she meets shapes her perspective, allowing her design work to naturally adapt and grow.

Fun Facts

She likes to draw a smile with her fork before eating a risotto, cooking pizza with friends and walk in the nature.
She loves the sun and she recently learned to appreciate the cold, finding patterns in the ice and peace sourrounded by snowy landscapes.
